India completed a commanding 3-0 sweep of Zimbabwe in the T20I series with a dominant 92-run victory in Raipur, thanks to a resurgent Harmanpreet Kaur. The veteran batter returned to explosive form with an unbeaten 91 off just 41 balls, accelerating India’s total to 216 for seven after Shafali Verma’s fiery 69 off 37.
Zimbabwe’s chase collapsed at 124 for seven, leaving India’s bowlers with little to do. Kaur’s aggressive innings followed a recent slump in form, including limited opportunities during the Asian Games and struggles on slower pitches in the T20 Asia Cup.
Her return to destructive batting—marked by five sixes in quick succession—restored confidence ahead of upcoming challenges, including the ICC Women’s Champions Trophy next year. Captain Smriti Mandhana’s decision to bat first allowed India to build a strong foundation, with Anushka Sharma and Verma combining for a 54-run partnership early on.
The win sets the stage for a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe starting October 23 in Vadodara.
