Gulveer Singh, Vithya Ramraj complete medal hat-tricks as India’s track stars make Asian Games history

Indian track and field competitors delivered historic performances at the recent continental multisport gathering, accumulating fifty-two total medals to sit tenth in the standings. Middle and long-distance runner Gulveer Singh secured three individual podium finishes across the ten thousand, fifteen hundred, and five thousand meter events, matching a legendary milestone achieved four decades prior.

Teammate Vithya Ramraj also captured three medals across various disciplines, breaking a decades-old national record in the hurdles before helping secure top finishes in relay competition.
