Gloucester-Hartpury Rugby Club has secured the signing of Australia’s Bridie O’Gorman for the 2026–27 Premiership Women’s Rugby season. The 27-year-old tight-head prop, who made her Wallaroos debut in 2022, brings 43 international caps to the club, including appearances in the delayed 2021 World Cup and last year’s tournament in England.
Currently playing for the NSW Waratahs, O’Gorman will transition to Gloucester-Hartpury after the WXV Series concludes at the end of this month. Head coach Dan Murphy praised her as a set-piece specialist, highlighting her rapid rise from starting rugby at 19 to becoming a key figure in both club and national team rugby.
O’Gorman expressed excitement about the opportunity to compete in a new league, calling the prospect of experiencing a different rugby environment and competition a major draw. Gloucester-Hartpury, known for its high-level play in the Premiership Women’s Rugby, begins its new season on November 21 with an away match against Sale Sharks.
