The New York organization officially parted ways with Odell Beckham Jr. on Tuesday and placed edge defender Brian Burns on injured reserve following a torn ACL sustained during their weekend triumph over the Tennessee Titans.
To compensate for these departures, the franchise promoted wide receivers Braxton Berrios and Charlie Jones from the practice squad to the active roster. Berrios had exhausted his permissible practice squad elevations after participating in the opening three contests, contributing primarily through special teams returns alongside limited offensive snaps.
Jones, previously drafted in the fourth round by Cincinnati in 2023, brings prior experience as both a receiver and a primary return specialist from his tenure with the Bengals. Management opted against promoting linebacker Malik Harrison and edge defender Trace Ford, potentially hinting at further personnel adjustments before their upcoming matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
The upcoming game is scheduled to take place this Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
