During their conference matchup against Vanderbilt on October 19, the Georgia Bulldogs utilized running back Nate Frazier for a limited number of plays as he continues recovering from a rib injury. Frazier had previously missed an earlier victory over Oklahoma, a game where teammates Chauncey Bowens and Dwight Phillips shouldered the rushing load.
Following the contest, head coach Kirby Smart explained that Frazier was only inserted into the lineup because Bowens experienced some physical trouble during the first half.
