Georgia football flips top 2027 JUCO recruit Alius Mayo from Cal

The Georgia Bulldogs secured a commitment from junior college cornerback Alius Mayo, who switched his pledge from the California Golden Bears on Tuesday, September 29. The top-rated junior college prospect stands six-foot-four and weighs 190 pounds, bringing previous experience from Modesto College and Lincoln High.

Georgia cornerbacks coach Donte Williams helped land the Stockton native, marking the program's first public commitment in nearly two months. Mayo joins a recruiting class that includes safety Seth Williams, while current cornerbacks Ellis Robinson and Demello Jones eye future professional opportunities.
