Worcestershire has secured the services of Gareth Roderick through a contract extension that runs until the conclusion of the 2028 season. Since joining the county in 2021, the wicketkeeper-batter has accumulated over 3,000 runs in first-class cricket, including seven centuries and a career-best score of 172 not out against Glamorgan.
He has also recorded more than 200 dismissals behind the stumps and contributed over 1,800 runs across limited-overs formats.
Head coach Alan Richardson praised the veteran for his leadership and consistent performance over his five-year tenure with the squad. Roderick, who tallied 164 runs against Northamptonshire earlier in 2026, expressed his commitment to the club and his desire to help the team compete across all formats in the coming years.
