Phoebe Litchfield powers Australia to crushing ODI victory over Bangladesh

Australia easily overcame Bangladesh in their opening one-day international match, successfully chasing a total of 166 runs in just over twenty-five overs while losing only three wickets. Phoebe Litchfield led the run chase with a rapid 77 runs from 57 balls, earning praise from player of the match Annabel Sutherland, who contributed 26 unbeaten runs after claiming four opposing wickets.

Earlier in the contest, fast bowler Megan Schutt claimed her 150th one-day international wicket by dismissing Fargana Hoque and Sarmin Sultana during a strong opening spell. Stand-in captain Tahlia McGrath managed the bowling attack effectively as the hosts restricted the visitors to 166 all out before securing the convincing victory.
