Game Preview: Utah Jazz vs San Antonio Spurs

October 12, 2026

The Utah Jazz face the San Antonio Spurs in a preseason showdown at the Delta Center, offering a rare opportunity to assess how the Jazz might adjust to the league’s most dominant defensive presence. With the Spurs, last season’s runners-up and a team poised for another deep run, the focus will be on how Utah’s roster handles matchups against a backcourt known for its physicality.

Darryn Peterson, who rebounded from a shaky first preseason outing against the Nuggets, will face another test in this game, while the Jazz’s coaching staff may experiment with unorthodox lineups to gauge fit before the regular season. Injuries remain a concern, as Peterson’s availability is far from guaranteed, mirroring the struggles the team faced in the final stretch of 2025.

The game, set for 7:00 PM Mountain Time, will air on KJZZ, Jazz+, or NBA League Pass, providing fans with a glimpse of how the Jazz might evolve before the real campaign begins.
