The UFC’s partnership with the FBI has taken a formal step forward after a high-profile training seminar at Quantico last March. Seven current and former UFC fighters, including former middleweight champion Chris Weidman, led a two-day session for around 300 federal agents and academy students, teaching specialized hand-to-hand combat techniques.
The program covered striking, grappling, weapon defense, and ground control, with fighters donning branded UFC-FBI gear for the sessions. The collaboration, which also included photo opportunities with FBI Director Kash Patel, appears to be advancing toward a long-term contract, as the bureau recently filed paperwork justifying an exclusive UFC deal for the next year.
The move underscores the UFC’s deepening ties to the Trump administration, particularly through its leadership and owner Ari Emanuel’s historical connections to the former president.
