Jake Fraser-McGurk delivered a historic performance for South Australia at the Karen Rolton Oval, reaching a half-century in just 14 balls during a List A match against Queensland. While this set a new One-Day Cup record, it fell short of the 11-ball world record currently held by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
Fraser-McGurk eventually departed for 122 runs off 63 deliveries, having struck 10 fours and nine sixes. Captain Nathan McSweeney provided stability for the side, contributing 106 runs from 103 balls to help the team reach a final total of 397/7.
The innings also saw contributions from bowlers Tom Straker, Tom Whitney, and Hayden Kerr, the latter of whom eventually claimed the wicket of the opener.
