Fourth titles at Life Time Grand Prix for Keegan Swenson and Sofia Gomez Villafañe, but 'the one I had to work the hardest for' admits men's winner

October 18, 2026

Specialized Off-road riders Keegan Swenson and Sofia Gomez Villafañe each secured their fourth Life Time Grand Prix titles in five years, though their journeys to victory could not have been more different. Villafañe dominated the series from the outset, winning five of six races—including Sea Otter Classic Gravel, Unbound Gravel 200, and Chequamegon MTB—and finished 21 points ahead of runner-up Hayley Preen, the largest margin of her career.

Meanwhile, Swenson, who had previously won three straight titles, fought back from a late-season slump to claim the men’s crown by just one point over Brendan Johnston, the narrowest winning margin in the competition’s history. His victory came despite a near-disastrous flat 13 miles into the final race, where he clawed back from a five-minute deficit at one stage to secure enough points for the overall win.

Both riders will return for 2027, along with Johnston and Preen, after earning invitations and prize money of $50,000 each for their series triumphs.
