Former Tennessee running back will face Vols with Alabama

The Tennessee Volunteers will welcome Alabama to Neyland Stadium this Saturday in a high-profile SEC clash, with the two teams ranked seventh and fourteenth in the latest coaches’ poll. The matchup carries added intrigue as Khalifa Keith, a former Tennessee running back, will make his return to the stadium after transferring to the Crimson Tide.

Keith, who played for the Vols during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, has appeared in two games for Alabama this year, contributing modestly with 12 rushing yards on three attempts. Before his time at Tennessee, he also played for Appalachian State in 2025, where he gained eight rushing yards in six games.

At Tennessee, Keith totaled 124 rushing yards and one touchdown across 16 games, along with a single reception for eight yards. The former Parker High School standout was recognized on the 2024 SEC Academic Honor Roll, adding another layer to his return to the venue that once saw him don the Volunteers’ uniform.
