Former NBA player Malik Beasley has reached an agreement to change his plea to guilty regarding federal charges connected to an illegal gambling operation. The legal proceedings, which involve allegations of wire fraud and bribery related to sporting events, are scheduled for a hearing on December 9.
Prosecutors claim Beasley manipulated his on-court statistics during his time with the Milwaukee Bucks to influence prop bets, allegedly to settle financial debts owed to former teammate Ed Davis. Several other individuals, including William Brown, Robert Gorodetsky, and Ernesto Plascencia, are also facing charges in the case, with some already moving toward plea changes.
