Former Dodgers World Series champ scoffs at Shohei Ohtani drama with bold prediction

Shohei Ohtani entered Game 3 of the NLCS despite a string of injuries and an offensive slump, having gone 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Game 2 and posting a 1-for-7 line overall in the series. The Dodgers trail the Milwaukee Brewers two games to none and face elimination as they seek to keep their three‑peat hopes alive.

Former Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood, who retired in 2025 after two stints with the club and a World Series title, dismissed the speculation about Ohtani being benched, posting on X that he expected the slugger to hit at least one home run in the upcoming game.
