Forearm injury for Malik Hooker

The Dallas Cowboys endured a difficult start to their regular season at MetLife Stadium, falling 28-20 to the New York Giants on Sunday evening. New York's second-year passer Jaxson Dart picked apart the Dallas defense, connecting on 23 of 29 attempts for 230 yards and three scores while adding 11 rushing attempts.

The hyped defensive unit struggled to generate second-half stops, leaving Dallas empty-handed in Week 1.

Adding to the defeat, the Cowboys suffered significant health setbacks to multiple defensive starters. Safety Malik Hooker fractured his forearm during the contest and is projected to be sidelined for numerous weeks.
