Fluff Bothwell injury update: Mississippi State RB ruled out vs Alabama

Mississippi State running back Fluff Bothwell will miss the remainder of Saturday's matchup against Alabama after aggravating a previous injury. The primary ballcarrier logged a single rushing attempt before changing into shorts and a walking boot on the sideline, leaving the visiting team's backfield depth severely tested as they attempt to secure their fifth consecutive victory and hand the Crimson Tide their first defeat of the season.

Broadcaster Katie George relayed from the site that medical staff evaluated the rusher following his early exit to determine if he could continue, but the discomfort proved too significant. Although Bothwell had been listed as probable on the injury report earlier in the week due to an issue originating from the Missouri game, he was cleared prior to kickoff before being shut down for the day.
