The Minnesota Vikings secured a narrow 15-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, relying on five field goals from kicker Will Reichard to edge out the win. Despite the absence of star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, tight end T.J.
Hockenson stepped up with a dominant performance, catching all 13 passes thrown his way for 119 yards. His strategic decision to drop short of the end zone on the final play of the game preserved a Vikings victory, as Miami ran out of timeouts and Minnesota simply knelt to run out the clock.
Running back Aaron Jones also played a key role, rushing for 94 yards on 20 carries, while quarterback Kyler Murray managed the game effectively despite the Vikings' offensive line struggles—left guard Donovan Jackson and left tackle Christian Darrisaw both left early with injuries. Meanwhile, Miami’s offense was stifled, with quarterback Malik Willis unable to find open receivers and the Dolphins’ defense failing to generate pressure.
Rookie running back Ollie Gordon was the lone bright spot for Miami, rushing for 100 yards in his first start, but the rest of the offense faltered. The Vikings’ 4-0 start has them looking like early contenders, while the Dolphins now sit at 0-4, appearing to be the worst team in the NFL.
