Five charged over football pitch hearse disorder

Authorities have taken legal action against five individuals following a bizarre security breach during a summer fixture in 2023. During a contest between Dunston UTC and Gateshead at the Wellington Road venue, a funeral vehicle and another automobile breached the perimeter and entered the playing surface while the match was paused.

The five suspects, facing multiple serious allegations including conspiracy and threats, are scheduled for upcoming court appearances.
