Final Round of Golden Knights Roster Cuts Suggests Imminent NHL Debut for Promising Rookie

Vegas Golden Knights rookie Trevor Connelly appears poised to secure a spot on the opening night roster after the club placed seventy-one players on waivers, including forwards Alexander Holtz, Tanner Laczynski, and Jonas Rondbjerg, alongside defensemen Ville Heinola and Antti Tuomisto, ahead of the league's Monday deadline. Connelly avoided being exposed to waivers since he is exempt from needing to clear them if reassigned to the AHL's Henderson affiliate.

Despite missing prior camps due to injuries sustained following his selection in the first round of the 2024 entry draft, the young winger put together an impressive training camp performance by appearing in three preseason contests, earning praise from teammates such as Jack Eichel as well as general manager Kelly McCrimmon and head coach Ryan Craig.
