Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Week 1 lineup picks from Justin Boone
The opening week of the 2026 NFL campaign has commenced, having already witnessed two matchups unfold ahead of Sunday's full slate. Fantasy analysts have highlighted several critical roster decisions across the league, with Bryce Young and Jakobi Meyers emerging as recommended starters, while managers are cautioned to bench Kirk Cousins and Michael Mayer as part of a fade on the Las Vegas aerial attack.
Meanwhile, Jared Goff is projected as a potential top-ten play when Detroit hosts New Orleans in a high-scoring environment, notwithstanding the Saints having yielded the second-fewest passing touchdown percentage back in 2024 and Goff holding the 18th quarterback spot in PFN rankings. Additional lineup guidance focuses on Kyler Murray, Jaxson Dart, Jordan Love, and Patrick Mahomes, who confronts a formidable Denver defense to launch his schedule.
Beyond football, recent competition saw Texas capture a shocking win against Ohio State, alongside Oklahoma State pulling off an upset victory over Oregon. On the tennis court, Elena Rybakina earned a notable triumph by toppling Aryna Sabalenka.
