Eugenio Chacarra wins in India to leapfrog Patrick Reed in Race to Dubai

Eugenio Chacarra clinched the DP World India Championship in New Delhi with a two‑stroke victory, posting a 9‑under 63 in the opening round and finishing at 21 under par after a final‑day 70. The win marks his third triumph of the 2026 season, following a third‑place finish at the French Open and a runner‑up showing at the Spanish Open.

Chacarra’s triumph propelled him ahead of Patrick Reed in the Race to Dubai leaderboard, giving the Spaniard the season‑long lead with the finale approaching next month. Reed carded a 69 to tie for 23rd at eight under, while Rory McIlroy’s 74 left him four shots further back in a tie for 42nd.

The victory adds to Chacarra’s recent success, which includes a May 2025 Hero Indian Open win and two June titles at the KLM Open and Italian Open after moving from the LIV Golf circuit.
