England's Gay hits 141 as Durham start well at Lancs

Durham seized control on the opening day of their Division Two fixture against Lancashire, finishing on 355-5. Emilio Gay anchored the innings with a brilliant century, scoring 141 runs to help put his team in a strong position.

Ben McKinney also contributed significantly with 71 runs, bringing up his milestone of 1,000 first-class runs for the season, while Mayank Agarwal added 66 runs before late wickets fell to Lancashire bowlers Tom Bailey, Ben Walkden, and Noman Ali.
