Mick van Dijke claimed his first professional victory in a dramatic stage three of the Eneco Tour, outlasting a relentless chase from race leader Victor Campenaerts in the final kilometers of the Watersley circuit. The Dutch rider from Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe bridged across to the breakaway with 33 kilometers remaining, then launched a decisive attack in the closing 18km to secure the win.

Campenaerts, riding for the overall lead in the orange jersey, responded with a final surge but could not hold off Van Dijke’s relentless sprint up the final climb. Jonas Rutsch (Lotto Intermarché) and Pierre Thierry (TotalEnergies) rounded out the podium, while Wessel Mouris (Unibet Rose Rockets) capitalized on his breakaway efforts to leapfrog Jakob Söderqvist (Lidl-Trek) into second place overall.

Söderqvist, who had led the race before the stage, lost over a minute and a half and relinquished the jersey to Campenaerts, who now holds a 15-second advantage over Mouris. Finn Fisher-Black (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) sits third overall, 30 seconds back.

The stage’s undulating terrain and constant attacks fractured the peloton, with multiple riders splitting off early before the final sprint for the line.
