Drake Maye fumbles on pass attempt without being touched for his league-high fifth turnover of the season

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye struggled on Sunday during an early possession against the Jacksonville Jaguars, dropping the football on a pass attempt without contact from any defender. Jacksonville defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton secured the loose ball to halt the drive, which the opposing offense subsequently transformed into a touchdown and an early advantage.

The unforced miscue marked the fifth turnover of the year for Maye, tying him with Cooper Rush for the most in the league at that point in the season. Kyle Williams had been targeted on the play down the field, but the ball slipped out of the quarterback's hand before his arm could move forward in a motion.
