Do England already have their Kane replacement - or is he yet to emerge?

Harry Kane recently reached a milestone by matching the record for most England appearances during a 3-0 victory over Czechia at Wembley. The 33-year-old striker, who recorded 61 goals for Bayern Munich throughout the 2025-26 season, currently holds 91 international goals from 125 caps.

With Kane set to be 35 by the 2028 European Championship, manager Thomas Tuchel is evaluating potential successors for the long-term future. Tuchel has specifically identified Jude Bellingham as a viable candidate for a central attacking role, noting the midfielder's natural scoring instincts.

Since the 2026 World Cup, Bellingham has registered 10 goals in 12 appearances for his country, a significant increase in productivity compared to his previous record.
