Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore avoided a significant setback after exiting the team's Week 2 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. The wideout hurt his shoulder during the second quarter at New Highmark Stadium while diving for a pass in the end zone and needed assistance leaving the field.
After initially being deemed questionable to return, he was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Medical evaluations have since determined that the shoulder issue is not severe, preserving a realistic chance that Moore suits up for Buffalo's upcoming Week 3 clash against the Los Angeles Chargers. The former Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears standout made an immediate impact during his Bills debut in Week 1, hauling in a touchdown alongside 100 receiving yards.
