Detroit Tigers 2026-2027 offseason primer

As the MLB offseason begins, the Detroit Tigers face a busy period of roster management. The club must address eight players returning from the 60-day injured list, including Bailey Horn, Reese Olson, Will Vest, Trey Sweeney, Kerry Carpenter, Parker Meadows, Wenceel Pérez, and Matt Vierling, while also navigating various club option decisions.

Meanwhile, individual accolades are on the horizon, with Dillon Dingler and Zach McKinstry positioned as strong contenders for Gold Glove honors. Elsewhere in the league, Bo Bichette has opted into his $42 million salary with the New York Mets, and Dustin May has entered free agency after declining his option with the Milwaukee Brewers.
