CT’s Ben James betting favorite to earn his first-career PGA Tour win this week

Connecticut native Ben James is the betting favorite heading into this week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where he eyes his first PGA Tour victory. The event, part of the FedEx Cup Fall series, features a stacked field including defending champion Adam Schenk, who will look to become the first back-to-back winner on Bermuda’s island course.

James, along with Austin Smotherman, will battle for crucial FedEx Cup points as the tournament unfolds from Thursday through Sunday, with live coverage available on major networks. Meanwhile, the PGA Tour’s schedule continues to build momentum as it prepares for the Hero World Challenge in December, featuring elite players like Scottie Scheffler and Hideki Matsuyama in the Bahamas.

The Bermuda Championship also marks a key stop for players vying for Korn Ferry Tour cards, with three golfers currently sharing the lead in the Dominican Republic Tour Championship.
