Cowboys news: Dallas wins a shootout on a game-winning drive by Dak Prescott

Dallas avoided a 1-3 start by securing a 34-30 victory over Houston. Dak Prescott led a decisive late scoring drive, while CeeDee Lamb delivered a standout performance to help the offense overcome a sluggish opening quarter.

Brandon Aubrey contributed with two successful field goals, though he also faced challenges with longer attempts. The defense managed to stabilize after the first period, forcing consecutive three-and-outs to keep the game within reach.

New arrival Joey Porter Jr. made his debut, playing 24 defensive snaps without allowing a reception.

While Nico Collins and C.J. Stroud connected for an early touchdown against DaRon Bland, the Cowboys' defensive unit ultimately held firm to seal the win.

Caleb Downs and Christian Parker were also noted for their roles in the defensive effort during the contest.
