Cowboys designate G Tyler Smith for return from IR

The Dallas Cowboys have initiated the process to bring Tyler Smith back to the active roster by removing him from the injured reserve list on Monday. This designation grants the organization a three-week period to integrate the offensive lineman into practice sessions.

Smith underwent a surgical procedure on his thumb prior to the season opener, with an initial recovery projection of four to six weeks. While the team prepares for a Thursday matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brian Schottenheimer noted that the player's availability for that specific contest remains uncertain.
