Cornish Pirates impress in opening day Doncaster win

The Cornish Pirates secured an opening day victory after holding a 19-12 half-time advantage against Doncaster. Dan Hiscocks, Arthur Relton, and Morgan Nelson scored for the hosts during the first period, while Nathan Langdon and Jasper McGuire responded for the visitors.

McGuire immediately levelled the scores two minutes into the second half before the home side's dominant maul took total control of the contest.

Pritchard came off the bench to finish off four tries from the powerful maul, scoring initially after 50 minutes and adding three more during a twelve-minute period starting from the 62nd minute. The bonus-point triumph places the victors level at the summit of the standings alongside Worcester Warriors and Ealing.

Coach Paver praised the physical development of the hooker and highlighted the line-out work overseen by Joe Walsh.
