Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg exited a matchup against the Indiana Pacers early after absorbing a hard foul from Aaron Nesmith late in the second quarter. Flagg was contesting the rim during a transition sequence when Nesmith delivered the heavy contact, sending the second-year star crashing to the court and triggering a brief altercation between players that involved Naji Marshall.
Despite remaining on the floor for a minute and subsequently receiving attention from the training staff, Flagg managed to sink both resulting free throws to cap off a 14-point first half that also included six assists and five rebounds. He did not emerge with the starting lineup for the third period, however, and the team later confirmed that he would miss the remainder of the contest due to left shoulder soreness.
