Colorado football report card after a disappointing loss to Baylor

Colorado suffered its opening Big 12 defeat of the season against Baylor after managing just 13 points on Saturday. Quarterback Julian Lewis struggled significantly during the first half and was ultimately benched, finishing with no interceptions and five incompletions before being replaced by Isaac Wilson.

Wilson provided a spark by tossing his first passing touchdown since late 2024, raising questions about who will start next week against Texas Tech. The offensive unit heavily stalled on the ground, carrying the ball 39 times for a meager 83 yards after absorbing five sacks that resulted in a loss of 28 yards.

Micah Welch delivered the longest rush of the contest with a 14-yard gain, while backfield mates JaQuail Smith and Richard Young failed to generate much momentum.
