Christian Horner credits Lewis Hamilton’s reaction to “horrendous” 2021 title loss

Christian Horner recently reflected on the 2021 Formula 1 season finale, noting that his admiration for Lewis Hamilton deepened following the dramatic conclusion in Abu Dhabi. Despite the intense controversy surrounding the final lap and the loss of a potential eighth championship, Horner praised Hamilton for maintaining his composure and showing grace toward both him and Max Verstappen immediately after the race.

Horner also addressed the aftermath of the event, suggesting that the narrative surrounding the result was heavily influenced by the public relations efforts of Mercedes. He acknowledged that while he and his team were cast as villains by many, he remains impressed by the professional conduct Hamilton displayed during a difficult personal defeat.
