Chris Sale — who else? — leads Braves in Game 1 against the Phillies

The Atlanta Braves are gearing up for another postseason collision with the Philadelphia Phillies, marking their third playoff meeting in five seasons. For the opening contest, Atlanta will finally hand the ball to left-hander Chris Sale after previous postseason absences due to injuries.

Sale enters this matchup following a stellar regular campaign in which he frequently confounded the Phillies across four stellar prior appearances. Projections from ZiPS and FanGraphs currently give the Braves a modest edge of roughly sixty percent to secure a victory in this initial playoff clash.
