The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a historic offensive collapse during their recent road game against the Seattle Seahawks, failing to reach the red zone or score a touchdown for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. Mahomes struggled significantly, recording career-lows in efficiency while playing without key contributors Rashee Rice, Tyquan Thornton, and Jaylon Moore.
Head coach Andy Reid attributed the poor showing to negative plays on early downs and costly penalties that forced the team into difficult third-down situations. Mahomes admitted that the offense failed to sustain drives or generate big plays against a disciplined Seattle defensive unit.
This performance marks only the second time in his career that Kansas City has been held to three or fewer points in a game.
