The Arizona Cardinals delivered the NFL’s biggest upset of the season so far, defeating the Los Angeles Rams 18-16 in a hard-fought victory at SoFi Stadium. The win marked the Cardinals’ second of the season and their first over a division rival, moving them ahead of the Rams in the NFC West standings.
Kicker Chad Ryland’s six field goals—including a career-high sixth—accounted for all of Arizona’s points, while the Rams’ struggles continued after a Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The team’s offensive line and kicking game remain major concerns, as the Rams cut kicker Harrison Mevis and briefly turned to Blake Grupe, who left the game with an injury after a tackle on the opening kickoff return.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped another game, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs 22-6, as their season without quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to falter. The Chiefs, now 5-0, added another star running back to their roster with Kenneth Walker, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns in his debut for the team.
Walker leads the NFL with 665 rushing yards in his first five games, setting an early pace for Kansas City’s playoff push. The Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans also made headlines, with the Browns extending their surprising start and the Texans winning a thrilling game in London to close out the NFL’s overseas series.
