Cam Ward says he’s ‘not a loser’ after Titans lose fifth straight to start season
Nashville Titans quarterback Cam Ward pushed back firmly against the narrative of early-season struggles after another loss dropped the team to 0-5, telling reporters he refuses to accept the label of a losing quarterback. Ward, who completed just 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards and was sacked four times in the latest defeat, dismissed the idea that his team has grown accustomed to defeat.
'The record may say we are right now, but I’m not a loser,' he insisted, emphasizing that setbacks are part of the process toward future victories. Despite his current 3-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio and the Titans' league-worst offensive output—averaging just 246.4 total yards and 11.6 points per game—head coach Robert Saleh remains fully committed to Ward as the starter.
The franchise’s 2025 first-round pick has shown flashes of potential but has yet to translate them into consistent success, leaving the Titans searching for answers in a historically weak offensive performance.
