Cam Ward’s film review shows good, bad, and ugly from Week 1 Titans loss

Cam Ward endured a rocky beginning to his second NFL campaign as the Tennessee Titans suffered a Week 1 home defeat against the New York Jets. The young passer connected on 19 of his 32 attempts, managing only a lone garbage-time scoring series after the offense went scoreless through the opening two quarters.

The sluggish showing stood in stark contrast to his strong conclusion to the 2025 season, in which he notched 10 touchdowns against a single interception over his final eight outings.

Following the setback, Titans head coach Robert Saleh pointed to past coaching instability when discussing the quarterback's ongoing progression, conceding that Ward still requires significant refinement. While the performance has drawn mounting scrutiny, Ward stated that he expects the Tennessee attack to reverse course before long.
