The Indiana squad finds itself on the brink of playoff elimination following a 102-85 defeat to the Las Vegas franchise during the opening match. The initial contest took place at Michelob ULTRA Arena, where A'ja Wilson paced the victors with 38 points and 16 rebounds alongside contributions from teammates Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray.

Aliyah Boston anchored the losing side's efforts with 18 points, while Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell also added double-digit scoring figures despite facing shooting difficulties.
