Bruce Pearl Calls Out 'Ungrateful' WNBA Players Over National Anthem Scandal

Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl has publicly criticized WNBA players for their decision to exit the court before the national anthem during the league finals. Both the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries vacated the floor prior to the anthem at the start of both Game 1 and Game 2 of the series.

While the WNBA rulebook mandates that players and coaches remain on the court in a professional manner during the anthem, the league has yet to issue an official comment regarding the repeated departures. The Golden State Valkyries currently hold a 1-0 lead in the series following their victory in the opening game.
