Browns, Panthers inactives: Cleveland loses a starter for home opener

The Cleveland Browns enter their home opening matchup against the Carolina Panthers dealing with important roster availability questions. Cornerback Tyson Campbell will sit out this contest due to multiple injuries to his ankle, hip, and knee, despite attempting to play through physical issues last week.

Fellow defensive back Grant Delpit was also tagged as questionable with a shoulder problem but has been cleared for action.

Carolina arrives with its own lineup adjustments, featuring top pass catcher Jalen Coker on the active list while wideout Xavier Legette misses the game. Other inactive players for the visiting side include tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, quarterback Haynes King, safety Nick Scott, linebacker Devin Lloyd, offensive tackle Albert Reese, and defensive tackle Cam Jackson.

Lloyd's absence stands out as a significant blow for the Panthers' defensive unit.
