Bret Bielema Offers Encouraging Illinois Injury Update Ahead of Purdue

Illinois head coach Bret Bielema shared a surprisingly thorough injury report ahead of his team's matchup against Purdue. The Fighting Illini offensive line could see several key returnees soon, including Maika Matelau, Brandon Henderson, and Jasyhon Platt, though freshman lineman Champ Smith will likely be sidelined after getting tangled up in a pile during the previous contest against Ohio State.

Additionally, linebacker Daniel Brown made his return in that game, and teammate TJ McMillen faces a season-long absence.
