The Los Angeles Dodgers face a critical juncture in the National League Championship Series as they trail the Milwaukee Brewers 0-2. With the 2026 NLCS headed back to Dodger Stadium, the team looks to Blake Snell to anchor the rotation in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
Following Snell, Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to take the mound for Game 4 on Thursday.
The Dodgers are currently navigating offensive challenges, particularly regarding Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani has not recorded a home run since Aug.
18 and enters the upcoming contest hitting .150 with no extra-base hits during the current postseason. Despite these struggles, Ohtani insists that his symptoms have subdued a lot and emphasizes that his No.
1 priority is for the team to win.
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts addressed the situation surrounding Ohtani, noting, I did speak to Sho, had a great conversation. He’s adamant he feels good enough to be in there.
He’s close to finding something with his swing. I feel great about it.
Roberts also addressed the broader team performance, stating, I do think that Shohei has taken this as a personal challenge. But at the end of the day, it’s not a one-man show.
It’s got to be all of us, myself included, who have got to be better.
Teoscar Hernández provided insight into the approach opposing pitchers are taking against Ohtani. They’re being careful, the same way like if he was doing an MVP season, Hernández said.
It’s not like he’s been getting pitches to hit. It’s going to be even tougher, especially when you’re in a slump like that, to come through because they’re not going to let you get out.
