Bills vs. Lions game analysis: Notes from 1st win at new Highmark Stadium
Josh Allen put on a commanding display to lead the Buffalo Bills to a 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions in their Week 2 Thursday Night Football clash. Commencing life at the newly constructed Highmark Stadium, Allen produced five total touchdowns, including an opening-quarter one-yard keeper that marked the inaugural score at the venue.
Buffalo overcame an accumulation of injuries as running back James Cook got going offensively alongside his quarterback, who had to navigate fourth-quarter pressure from Detroit pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson. The high-scoring triumph over Jared Goff's Lions marked the Bills' second consecutive strong performance following an opening-week meeting with Houston.
