Los Angeles Rams tackle Alaric Jackson received a one‑game suspension after he punched Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb following Buffalo's overtime victory on Monday Night Football. The altercation began when Jackson, who was swapping jerseys with defensive lineman Deone Walker, was approached by Chubb, who made a comment about the Rams' chip protection that angered Jackson and led to the punch.
Chubb later clarified he said, "That chip's not gonna save you. The guard's not gonna save you," denying any reference to Jackson's mother.
Chubb played 66 snaps, lining up on the right side of the defensive line for 49 of them, matching up with Jackson on roughly 75% of his plays, according to Pro Football Focus. He finished with two tackles, no sacks and one pressure, and said the incident taught him to keep his hands up or helmet on.
The suspension was initially two games but was reduced to one by hearing officer Derrick Brooks on appeal.
