New Zealand has lost Lockie Ferguson for the rest of the T20I series against India due to a low-grade right calf tear suffered during the second game at Hagley Oval. Matt Fisher has been brought in to replace him.
This comes as the hosts' pace attack has struggled, with India leading 3-0 after chasing 225 in the first match, 180 in the second, and 199 in just 13.2 overs in the third.
While spinners Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner have performed well, other pace concerns remain. Matt Henry is recovering from a right quadricep tear and is expected to return for the ODI series in one to two weeks.
Kyle Jamieson is currently in Wellington for workload management and will play for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy on Saturday before returning to the national side on Monday.
