The Big 12 delivered a week of dominant performances with few surprises, as top teams extended their leads while others struggled to keep pace. Utah’s offense continued its torrid pace, scoring over 40 points for the third time this season in a 41-24 win over Kansas, while BYU and Texas Tech remained unbeaten with three conference victories apiece.
Oklahoma State secured its fourth win of the year with a 42-28 victory over UCF, marking the Knights’ second straight conference win, while Houston’s 35-16 rout of Kansas State highlighted the Cougars’ offensive firepower. Arizona also flexed its muscle, defeating West Virginia 52-31 despite allowing over 300 rushing yards to the Mountaineers, and improving to 3-2 with a 30-12 win over Hawaii in a non-conference matchup.
Meanwhile, Iowa State fell to BYU 24-10, and Kansas State’s 16-35 loss to Houston dropped them to 0-2 in conference play. The standings now show BYU, Texas Tech, and Utah leading the Big 12 at 3-0, with Baylor, Oklahoma State, Arizona, and Houston rounding out the top half at 2-1 or better.
