BCCI to conduct trials to ensure Arunachal Pradesh's Ranji participation

The BCCI is intervening to resolve internal administrative conflicts within the Arunachal Cricket Association that previously forced the state to forfeit matches in the Ranji Trophy, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and the Under-19 Women’s T20 tournament. To protect the athletes, the board has appointed an independent committee to oversee selection trials for all age groups and senior squads.

This panel will be led by Satya Gopal Chakraborty, with Jayanta Chowdhury and Deep Bora serving as members, while Khairul Majumdar will act as the convener. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the board aims to eliminate external influence in the process, with support staff appointments expected to be finalized by mid-week.
